Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring experienced caregivers to provide compassionate in-home support for seniors in and around San Jose, CA. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, and ensuring safety and comfort in clients' homes.

The position offers both part-time weekend shifts and full-time opportunities, with paid time off, ongoing training, and access to a supportive care team. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or equivalent experience in caregiving.
• Proven experience as a caregiver or similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As an Experienced Caregiver at Assisting Hands Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, personalized care to seniors in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our healthcare team to ensure each client receives the highest standard of care and support. Whether you work on-site in San Jose, you’ll have the flexibility to create a positive and impactful environment for those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.

Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.

Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health status.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their home is comfortable.

Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to share updates and address concerns.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

CNA – Non-Medical Caregiver.

Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar role.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Empathy and compassion toward clients and their families.

Ability to comply with health and safety regulations (e.g., hygiene protocols).

Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and potentially overnight shifts.

Bonus If You:

Have CPR and First Aid certifications.

Are bilingual.

Possess any specialized training in care practices for seniors.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time, Full-Time position available on weekends only.
