Job summary

Princeton Management is seeking an HVAC technician to maintain and repair residential properties in Michigan. You will diagnose furnace and air conditioning problems, perform preventative maintenance, and report issues to management.

Must be HVAC certified and comfortable working independently or with a team in occupied apartments. Candidates should have hands-on experience with gauges, meters, and hand tools, plus basic electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Must be HVAC certified.
  • Hands-on experience using gauges, meters and necessary hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical ability.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical systems.
  • Able to follow instructions while investigating furnace or air conditioning problems.
  • Attention to detail, collaborative and independent work, communication, troubleshooting, decision-making, initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents.
  • Be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Identify and report to management issues involving the employees, property or residents.
  • Timely complete service requests in occupied apartments.
  • HVAC repairs including troubleshooting and replacement of components.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines, tools and equipment continue to run properly.
  • Complete work required by municipalities and building inspectors.
  • May be asked to assist Supervisor/Manager/ Area Director with other tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Must possess positive attitude and desire to lead by example
  • Be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize
  • Identify and report to management issues involving the employees, property or residents
  • Timely complete service requests in occupied apartments
  • HVAC repairs including troubleshooting and replacement of components, etc. Must be HVAC certified.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines, tools and equipment continue to run properly.
  • Complete work required by municipalities and building inspectors
  • Work overtime when needed
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing ladders to various heights is required
  • May be asked to assist Supervisor/Manager/ Area Director with other tasks and duties relative to community operations
