Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a maintenance technician with HVAC certification to perform HVAC repairs, preventive maintenance, and service requests in occupied apartments. The role requires strong mechanical ability, knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The candidate should be able to prioritize tasks, communicate effectively with coworkers and residents, and lift up to 50 lbs while climbing ladders.

Qualifications

• HVAC certified is required.
• Hands-on experience with gauges, meters and hand tools.
• Strong mechanical ability with basic electrical knowledge.
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities:

• Professionally communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents

• Identify and report to management issues involving the employees, property or residents
• Timely complete service requests in occupied apartments
• HVAC repairs including troubleshooting and replacement of components, etc. Must be HVAC certified.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines, tools and equipment continue to run properly.
• Complete work required by municipalities and building inspectors
• Work overtime when needed
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing ladders to various heights is required
• May be asked to assist Supervisor/Manager/ Area Director with other tasks and duties relative to community operations
