Job summary

Princeton Management is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for property operations in Michigan. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, coordinating with residents and vendors, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Requirements include HVAC certification, hands-on use of gauges/meters and basic electrical knowledge, plus strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Must be able to work independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification and ability to troubleshoot furnace/AC problems.
• Hands-on experience with gauges, meters and necessary hand tools.
• Strong mechanical ability and basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with coworkers, vendors, and residents.

Responsibilities:

• Professionally communicate with coworkers, vendors, and residents
• Must possess positive attitude and desire to lead by example
• Be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Must be organized and able to prioritize
• Identify and report to management issues involving the employees, property or residents
• Timely complete service requests in occupied apartments
• HVAC repairs including troubleshooting and replacement of components, etc. Must be HVAC certified.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines, tools and equipment continue to run properly.
• Complete work required by municipalities and building inspectors
• Work overtime when needed
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing ladders to various heights is required
• May be asked to assist Supervisor/Manager/ Area Director with other tasks and duties relative to community operations
