Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a multi‑skill Heavy 2 equipment operator for a full‑time position on our construction sites in North Carolina. You will operate power construction equipment, perform routine maintenance, and support safe, efficient site operations.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of field experience and NCCER certifications, plus a valid CDL when necessary. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands‑on craftsmanship on critical infrastructure projects.

Competenze

• 3+ years or 6,000 hours of working experience as an equipment operator.
• Commercial driver's license is required when the equipment will be operated on public roads.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have in his/her possession an OCI Equipment Qualification card endorsing the unit being operated.

Mansioni

• Operate various heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade material per project specs.
• Perform light maintenance and document maintenance logs on the equipment.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and ensure safe operation.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in pre-job safety meetings and related processes.
• Inspect equipment and check fuel supplies daily.
