Qualifications

• Multiple years of working experience as a heavy equipment operator.
• Must have working knowledge of operating limitations and safe work practices for each machine.
• A valid Medical Examiner's Certificate must be on file before operation begins.
• CDL is required when operating on public roads.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or several types of heavy construction equipment per project specs.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and document results.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew members and other activities.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, and equipment using trucks and related machinery.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in pre-job safety planning.
