Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Finishing Gluer Operator in Lumberton, NC. You will operate equipment that forms and glues flat cartons into finished cartons, ensuring alignment with production objectives and quality standards.

Previous manufacturing experience and accuracy in routine machine adjustments are essential. Your role includes monitoring machines, inspecting finished cartons, performing SAP reporting, and assisting with other duties to maintain efficient packaging

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP reporting processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts forming bars to accommodate size of box to be formed.
• Fills glue pots with adhesive and positions rollers to dispense glue onto paperboard.
• Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions.
• Inspects cartons for flaws.
• Performs SAP reporting related tasks.
• Make mechanical adjustments on machines as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Details

FINISHING GLUER OPERATOR JOB SUMMARY: Operates machine that forms and glues flat cartons into finished cartons. They understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

• Adjusts forming bars to accommodate size of box to be shaped
• Fills glue pots with adhesive and positions rollers to dispense glue onto paperboard
• Observes machine operation to detect malfunction
• Inspects cartons for flaws
• SAP reporting
• Make mechanical adjustments on machines to include, but are not limited to the following.
• Other duties as assigned

2. Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe food or noncompliance with SQF related procedures.
3. Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) asrequired.
