Job summary

gpac is partnering with a fast-growing freight brokerage in Fort Lauderdale, FL to add an experienced Freight Broker who can build and manage their own business with minimal red tape. This cradle-to-grave role lets you own relationships and control the process from start to finish.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years freight brokerage or freight agent experience.
• Strong shipper development and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of freight markets, lane pricing, and carrier negotiations.

gpac is working with a fast-growing freight brokerage in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area that is looking to add an experienced Freight Broker who wants the freedom to build and manage their business without the layers and restrictions that often come with larger organizations.

This is a cradle-to-grave opportunity where you'll maintain ownership of your customer relationships and control the process from start to finish. The company operates with a lean structure, giving experienced brokers the ability to move quickly, make decisions, and directly benefit from the business they build.

What You’ll Do

• Prospect and develop new shipper relationships
• Build and manage a profitable book of business
• Secure freight and negotiate rates
• Source and manage qualified carriers
• Manage loads from rate confirmation through final delivery
• Serve as the dedicated point of contact for your customers

What We’re Looking For

• 1-3+ years of freight brokerage or freight agent experience
• Strong shipper development and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of freight markets, lane pricing, and carrier negotiations
• Experience with DAT, Truckstop, and TMS platforms
• An active, portable book of business is highly preferred
