The Platt Brothers & Company is seeking an Experienced Eyelet Toolmaker in Waterbury, CT. The role will involve developing new tooling, maintaining existing tooling on multiple presses, and collaborating with engineering on new and existing jobs.

We require a minimum of 10 years’ experience in deep-draw eyelet toolmaking, strong knowledge of tool room equipment and heat-treating, plus a track record of mentoring apprentices. Competitive benefits apply.

Experienced Eyelet Toolmaker Job description: The Platt Brothers & Company, a family owned business since 1797 is a major source for zinc, zinc alloy and other non-ferrous products along with intricate custom eyelet and deep drawn stamping capabilities. We are currently seeking an Experienced Eyelet Toolmaker who is capable of making and developing new tooling as well as maintaining existing jobs on all sizes of Waterbury Farrel, Baird and Platarg Presses.

Core Responsibilities

• Build and develop, with limited supervision, new deep draw transfer press tooling.
• Maintain, and in some cases, improve existing transfer press tools.
• Mentor, teach, and train less skilled and apprentice toolmakers.
• Work directly with engineering on new jobs and improving existing jobs.
