Vail Resorts is seeking an Experienced Equipment Operator for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. The role involves operating a range of equipment for street and utility work, with opportunities for full-time and part-time hours.

Minimum age 18, housing available, and a starting wage of $22.00/hr with potential to $27.70/hr. Applicants must have at least 1 year of heavy equipment experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to work outdoors in alpine conditions.

Competenze

• Heavy equipment experience required (1 year minimum).
• Fluent English communication required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; Class A or B CDL required.

Mansioni

• Operate all equipment used by the Mt. Ops team.
• Monitor equipment and address issues promptly with Vehicle Maintenance.
• Perform physical labor as needed and maintain mountain operations.
• Maintenance of signs and general maintenance.
• Take directions and work as part of a team.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Experienced Equipment Operator will operate a variety of equipment, trucks and tractors for the purpose of street and utility repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities.

Job Specifications

• Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $27.70/hr
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available

Job Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment used by the Mt. Ops team
• Monitor all equipment and make sure that all issues are addressed promptly and communicated with Vehicle Maintenance.
• Physical Labor will be required due to the broad scope of the jobs that will be done for the resort. Responsible for all aspects of Mountain operations.
• Maintenance of signs and repairs and general maintenance.
• Able to take directions and work as part of a team
• Accurately troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• At least 1-year heavy equipment experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Class A or B CDL License is required for this position
• Able to lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work extended hours outdoors in an alpine environment

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $27.70/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
