Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for a Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 Experienced Equipment Operator in Colorado. The role involves operating Mt. Ops equipment, performing maintenance, and supporting mountain operations in an alpine environment.

Starting wage ranges from $22.00 to $27.70 per hour, with full- or part-time hours available and housing support. Applicants must have at least 1 year of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma, fluent English, a valid CDL (Class A or B), and the ability to

Responsibilities

• Maintain signs and perform repairs and general maintenance.
• Take direction and work effectively as part of a team.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Experienced Equipment Operator will operate a variety of equipment, trucks and tractors for the purpose of street and utility repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment used by the Mt. Ops team
• Monitor all equipment and make sure that all issues are addressed promptly and communicated with Vehicle Maintenance.
• Physical Labor will be required due to the broad scope of the jobs that will be done for the resort. Responsible for all aspects of Mountain operations.
• Maintenance of signs and repairs and general maintenance.
• Able to take directions and work as part of a team
• Accurately troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• At least 1-year heavy equipment experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Class A or B CDL License is required for this position
• Able to lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work extended hours outdoors in an alpine environment

The expected pay range is$22.00/hr - $27.70/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
