Job summary
At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking an Experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered care for individuals with IDD in home and community settings. You will assist with daily living, safety, and community participation under individualized care plans.
Ideal candidates have hands-on DSP experience with IDD and Autism, knowledge of BSPs, strong communication, and a compassionate, dependable approach.
Qualifications
- Previous Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience is required.
- Experience supporting individuals with IDD and/or Autism.
- Experience with behavioral needs and BSPs is preferred.
- Knowledge of person-centered care and individual rights.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support with ADLs, personal care, mobility, and daily routines.
- Support individuals with IDD, Autism, and behavioral needs.
- Implement Individualized Support Plans and BSPs.
- Promote independence, dignity, and community involvement.
- Provide companionship and support during activities and appointments.
- Assist with transportation as needed.
- Monitor and document progress and daily activities.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and care team.
