Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency seeks an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will help with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety and dignity.

The role requires strong communication, compassion, and reliability. You will document progress, follow care plans including BSPs, accompany clients to appointments, and support transportation while upholding HIPAA

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) required.
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs and implementing BSPs preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities and personal care.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
• Document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with mobility and transportation as needed.
