Job description

Salary: $60,000 Location: Taunton, MA Company: Diesel Direct

Description:

East Providence, Rhode Island

• Hourly pay is $25 - $35 per hour based on experience
• Our mechanics average between $1,000 – $1,400 per week
• This is a full-time position - 40 hours per week - overtime is possible
• Overtime pay is time and a half
• No weekends typically (unless required by company demand)
• Heated and cooled shop that is well-ventilated and very clean
• Company-provided uniforms
• Paid holidays and PTO
• PTO starts accruing after the first week at 2.0 hours a week until 40 hours then changes to .47 per week

Diesel Direct is Hiring Diesel Mechanics

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
• A CDL and hazmat endorsement is preferred, but not required
• Must have your own tools and be able to weld equipment as needed
• Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on equipment
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work meets the manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations
• The ability to work alone or as a team
