Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician with diagnostic software.
  • Completed diesel/automotive certification programs or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full engine rebuilds and repairs on trucks and engines.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical services including diagnostics.
  • Advise on additional repairs and follow safety practices.

Job Responsibilities for Diesel Technician
  • Perform full engine rebuilds and repairs.
  • Provide technical services including troubleshooting, electrical, and diagnostics.
  • Read repair orders and perform repairs on trucks, engines, and components.
  • Advise on additional repairs if necessary.
  • Follow safety practices and use safety equipment.
  • Participate in other projects as assigned.
Required Skills for Diesel Technician
  • Experience with Navistar software and diagnostics; NavCal, SDS, DLB are a plus.
  • Previous lead tech experience preferred.
  • Experience with brands like International, Isuzu, Ford, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, Allison, Freightliner, Volvo, Mack, Kenworth, or Peterbilt.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician with diagnostic software.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Full set of personal hand tools.
  • Completed diesel/automotive certification programs or equivalent experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED; vocational or technical training preferred.
