Job summary

Rise Community Hospital in Prairieville, LA is seeking an experienced Sonography Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and provide patient-centered care. You will interpret findings, communicate with physicians, and ensure safety and comfort of patients throughout procedures.

The role requires ARDMS certification, adherence to CME requirements, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in obstetric/abdomen/gyn sonography, with BLS current.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a formal Allied Health Profession Training in an AMA-approved diagnostic sonography program.
• Licenses/Certification: ARDMS; CME requirements; current BLS.
• Experience: 3 years of ARDMS/ABD/ObGYN/RVT experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
• Use critical thinking to adapt procedures to anatomy and diagnostic information.
• Differentiate between normal and pathologic findings during the sonogram.
• Analyze sonograms with medical history and communicate findings to care teams.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Prepare preliminary reports and contact referring physicians as needed.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure appropriate patient care.
