Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonography professional to perform ultrasound exams and invasive procedures per standards. You’ll deliver patient-centered care across neonatal to geriatrics and work closely with radiology staff.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS in 2 specialties, is ARDMS registered, BCLS certified, and has 2 years of experience in clinical ultrasound; cross-sectional anatomy knowledge required; weekend schedule Friday-Sunday.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 2 years of ultrasound experience required.
• ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required.
• RVS or RVT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatrics.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
