Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency invites applications for a Diagnostic Sonographer role. You will perform ultrasound procedures independently, ensure patient safety, prepare patients, position them, and operate equipment following department protocols.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS or ARRT certification with BLS, 3+ years of ultrasound experience, and strong communication skills. Pediatric exams experience is a plus; you will mentor peers and help maintain high quality imaging while minimizing

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED, with a diagnostic medical sonography degree preferred.
Valid ARDMS or ARRT sonography certification and BLS certification are mandatory.
Minimum 3 years ultrasound experience; excellent communication, ability to work independently under pressure, and proficiency in all ultrasound procedures, including pediatric exams.

Responsibilities

Verifies clinician orders, gathers patient history, and ensures proper patient identification.
Reviews images for quality and makes adjustments to obtain optimal results.
Assists with patient preparation, positioning, and equipment setup.
Performs routine quality control and maintains infection control standards.
