Job summary

PDS Health in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support the dentist, help achieve the best possible patient outcomes, and contribute to a welcoming, efficient practice.

You’ll operate x-ray equipment, maintain sterile environments, and assist with intra-oral imaging while following ADA, OSHA, HIPAA, and state regulations. This role offers growth through CE units and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must assist dentist to gain patient commitment for best possible treatment.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and cheerful environment and perform x-rays and intra-oral pictures.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories per ADA guidelines and OSHA/DOL/HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment and complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)

Compensation Information

$17.25-$24.00 / Hourly
