Home Helpers Home Care - Houston is seeking a Dementia Experienced Caregiver to provide compassionate in-home support for clients living with dementia. This role offers both full-time and part-time hours with flexible scheduling in a supportive team environment.

You will assist with daily activities, monitor health changes, and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, personalized care. Ongoing training is available to advance your skills and career in home care.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to client care.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare is a plus.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and support to clients with dementia in their homes.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and document clients' health and behavior changes.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to stimulate cognitive function.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients.
• Administer medications and manage care plans as directed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
