Job summary

Purcell Tire and Service Centers in Wasilla, AK is seeking a Commercial Tire Technician to provide tire services on customer sites and on service calls. You will perform tire and wheel replacements, balancing, mounting, rotations, and related shop tasks, with a focus on safety and quality under the Purcell Way.

Qualifications

• 6 months of commercial tire experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 3-year clean MVR; no DUIs and no more than 2 moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Commit to continual improvement, training and professional growth.
• Perform commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations.
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replacement of tires/wheels.
• Perform basic facility maintenance, shop clean up, and organization.
• Look for opportunities to improve our products and services.
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management.

What You Need:

• Ability to pass pre-employment background & drug screen
• 6 months of commercial tire experience required
• Valid driver’s license

DRUG TESTING

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
