Job summary

Stellar Cooling Services in Tampa, FL is hiring a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems. You will support school facilities and other commercial projects, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer service.

The role requires at least five years of experience, EPA Universal Certification, a valid FL driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks. On-site work in Hillsborough County and the Tampa Bay area is expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and complete service calls.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to pass Level II background screening for school facilities.
• Ability to pass company drug screening.
• Strong communication, organization and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems.
• Service rooftop units, package units, split systems, heat pumps, and air handlers.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and airflow issues.
• Read wiring diagrams and equipment schematics.
• Maintain safe work areas and document work using company tools.
• Participate in on-call rotation about one week per month.
