Job summary

Upchurch Industrial LLC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Tampa, FL to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems for industrial clients. The role requires independent field work, safety compliance, and strong customer service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in commercial HVAC, EPA Universal Certification, and a clean driving record. We offer health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and certification assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech school preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with large-tonnage equipment and controls preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems such as RTUs, chillers, boilers, and controls.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on commercial equipment.
• Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics.
• Test electrical components, motors, compressors, and control systems using diagnostic tools.
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, including work orders, materials used, and reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding system performance and repair recommendations.
• Follow all OSHA regulations, safety policies, and company procedures.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in proper working order.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
