Job summary

California Bank & Trust, a division of Zions Bancorporation, seeks a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to serve clients in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and San Jose. The role focuses on generating and servicing a broad set of commercial loans while building strong client relationships.

You will evaluate credit, structure loans, and cross-sell bank products, with a focus on high-quality service and risk management.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's and at least 4-8+ years' experience with commercial or credit lending, credit, underwriting experience.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial loans, credit analysis, lending, loan processing and closing processes.
• Ability to expand commercial loans, client relationships and cross-sell bank products.
• Requires strong sales ability and solid experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment.
• Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Generate and service a wide variety of commercial loans and develop strong, low risk commercial relationships while maintaining quality customer service.
• Acts as the principal account and relationship manager for new and existing clients.
• Develops, generates and follows-up on new client leads through existing clients and referrals from other bank departments.
• Calls on existing relationships to review portfolios and makes recommendations as needed.
• Responsible for sales, credit analysis, proper loan structuring, client interviewing and perceptive character judgment.
• Responsible for monitoring credit performance.
• Responsible for building and maintaining relationships, with a resulting high degree of customer satisfaction.
• Cross sell other bank products.
• Aggressively seeks and obtains quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross selling efforts.
• Requires skills and experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment, loan structuring, credit analysis, and monitoring credit performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
