Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is looking to expand its caregiver family with kind, compassionate CNAs and GNAs. We offer support from owners, ongoing training, career growth, and a nice work atmosphere with competitive pay.

The position is part-time, evenings 5:00 PM–9:00 PM on Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri. Experience with safe transfers is preferred due to client needs and a Hoyer lift.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Current CNA license is mandatory.
• Must have doctor's medical health clearance including a negative TB test.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care (bathing, dressing, transfers).
• Meal preparation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Monitor and report physical and behavioral changes.
• Assist with medication reminders.
• Assist with ambulation.
• Monitor BP and glucose levels.

Looking to staff a part-time caregiver for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The position is available to start on October 19. The client uses a Hoyer lift, so experience with safe transfers is preferred.

Qualifications

• Will need current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Current CNA license
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to understand care plans and assessments
• Must have current doctor's medical health clearance to work which includes a negative TB Test
