Job summary

Senior Helpers of Silver Spring is seeking compassionate caregivers to help seniors stay independent, safe, and comfortable at home. As a Caregiver, you may assist with morning routines, meals, mobility, appointments, and light housekeeping.

We provide hands-on orientation, ongoing support, and specialized training for dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other age-related conditions; earn competitive pay and flexible shifts while making a real difference every day.

Qualifications

• We are looking for a compassionate, dependable caregiver committed to client-centered care.
• Must have a recent TB test.
• CPR and first aid certification required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Preferred CNA license.

Responsibilities

• Help seniors stay independent, safe, and comfortable at home.
• Assist with daily activities, mobility, and meals.
• accompany clients to appointments and run light errands.

As a Caregiver, no two days are the same. You might help someone get ready for the day, prepare a favorite meal, provide mobility support, head to an appointment, or lend a hand around the house. And sometimes, the most meaningful part is simply sharing a great conversation, a few laughs, or some encouragement.

We’ll make sure you’re ready to succeed. You’ll receive hands-on orientation and skills training, ongoing support from our local team, and specialized training for caring for clients living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other age-related conditions.

Schedule & Pay

• Competitive pay starting at $16/hour based on experience and qualifications
• Flexible shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and live-in assignments

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable caregiver committed to making a difference through exceptional, client-centered care. Our ideal candidate will:

• Bring a caring, patient, and positive attitude to every client interaction
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently
• Have a recent TB test
• Be certified CPR and first aid
• Be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening

• Preferably hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
