Bismarck-based Braun Intertec Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to support a variety of construction projects. You will perform soil, aggregate, concrete, and masonry testing in field settings across industrial, commercial, and transportation sites, ensuring strict adherence to project specs.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused approach and attention to detail.
• Excellent plan-reading skills.
• Strong math and technical aptitude for field testing.
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work outdoors.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and drive to project sites.
• Willingness to work extended or nontraditional hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and masonry.
• Conduct field concrete testing including slump, air content, and temperature.
• Perform field density tests of soils.
• Prepare daily reports and documentation of field activities in electronic format.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior technicians to ensure specifications are followed.
• Assist with training and mentoring of junior staff as needed.
