Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation is seeking an Experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Rochester, MN office. You will perform testing on soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt across regional projects, with on-site duties and documentation in electronic format.

This role includes training opportunities, safety emphasis, and potential mentoring of junior staff within a fast-paced, employee-owned company environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; DOT/ICC/NICET certifications preferred.
• 1+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• Ability to read plans and interpret specifications.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Conduct field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and temperature.
• Perform field density tests of soils and prepare daily reports in electronic format.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior staff to ensure compliance with specs, mentor junior staff as needed.
