Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or APRN-RNFA) to join a nationally recognized program. You will serve as a primary first assist across CABG, valve, aortic, and structural procedures, while supporting EVH and arterial harvests.

You will partner with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care from planning through recovery, with exposure to VADs, ECMO, and transcatheter therapies in a rapidly expanding program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Florida PA-C or APRN license, or eligibility to obtain.
• RNFA certification required for APRN candidates.
• NCCPA certification or equivalent national certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrated surgical first-assist experience, preferably in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• First assist in CABG, valve, aortic, thoracic, and structural heart procedures.
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and radial artery harvesting.
• Collaborate with surgeons and care teams to manage patients across planning, recovery and follow-up.
• Care for patients requiring advanced heart failure therapies, including VADs and ECMO.
• Participate in transcatheter and structural heart procedures within a growing program.
