Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a full-time physician assistant (PA-C) or nurse practitioner (APRN) to join the cardiothoracic surgery and transplant/MCS team at Florida Advanced Cardiothoracic Surgery in Largo, FL. The APP will assist in CVOR cases and provide inpatient rounding, clinic duties, patient education, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Must be board certified, hold or obtain Florida license, and have surgical first assist or EVH experience; LVAD/ECMO/heart

Qualifications

• Board certification as PA or NP
• Active Florida license prior to start
• Surgical first assist experience preferred
• Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience preferred
• Experience with LVAD/ECMO/heart transplant is a plus
• Call includes rotating weekday and one weekend per month

Responsibilities

• First assisting in all CVOR cases (CABG, valve, LVAD, transplant, etc.)
• Inpatient rounding in ICU and floors
• Consult clinic duties
• Patient education
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary team
