Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking experienced Border Patrol Agents (BPA) for full-time career positions with the U.S. Border Patrol.

The role offers base pay at GL-9/GS-11 levels, locality pay, overtime, and substantial recruitment and retention incentives. Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GL-9/GS-11 level, performing duties like searching for weapons, contraband, and evidence.
• Ability to apprehend violators and work with law enforcement personnel.
• Proficient use of firearms and ability to prepare investigative reports.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration and customs violations and inspect documents.
• Maintain surveillance to prevent illegal entries and apprehend suspects.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband and respond accordingly.
• Perform patrols and checks across various locations and modes of transport to uphold USBP mission.
• Lead investigations and collaborate with other agencies as needed.
