Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist to join a growing team in Oakland, CA. The role supports day-to-day accounting and payroll operations, ensuring accurate financial records and compliant processes.

Responsibilities include payroll processing, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and assisting with month-end close, reporting, and audits. Strong Excel skills and experience with major payroll systems are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, Sage, or similar systems.
• Strong Excel and accounting skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close.
• Maintain payroll and financial records.
• Ensure compliance with payroll and accounting regulations.
• Assist with reporting and audits as needed.
