Job summary

W.C. Rouse and Son, Inc., a New Page Company, is seeking a Boiler Technician in West Columbia, SC to perform mechanical boiler services and preventative maintenance for clients in the Carolinas.

The role requires 5+ years boiler service experience, a high school diploma, and ability to read schematics, operate common tools, and follow safety policies. Travel within the Carolinas is expected; company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years boiler service experience.
• Boiler Flame Safeguard and Operating/Limit Controls troubleshooting.
• Basic Electrical Troubleshooting.
• Problem-solving mentality and customer service focus.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Boiler and Boiler Room Equipment Mechanical Services.
• Boiler Room Annual Inspection & Preventative Maintenance Services.
• Boiler Inspection Services, including securing, opening, cleaning, replacing gaskets and closing per specs.
• Perform running safety tests and document service reports.
• Operate common hand and power tools; basic pipe fitting and rigging.
• Read prints/schematics; knowledge of pumps and safety policies.
• Maintain company vehicle; occasional travel within the Carolinas.
