We are seeking experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection experts to join our dynamic team! The role involves managing collection processes for TDD services, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties. Candidates should have in-depth knowledge of billing and collection practices.

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience is required.
• 3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience is required.
• Experience with Home Infusion or Intrathecal Pain Management is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Respect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment and escalate issues as needed.
• Evaluate payments and denials for correctness and apply them appropriately.
• Identify bad debts and initiate write-offs and adjustments per policies.
• Investigate overpayments and duplicate payments, resolving discrepancies.
• Process refund requests according to policies.
• Coordinate with other departments for necessary patient or insurance information.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates.
• Conduct calls to troubleshoot payment issues and establish resolutions.
• Document all communications thoroughly.
• Seek to maximize claim reimbursements.
• Resolve denial issues within 5 days of receipt.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, medical terminology, billing procedures, and regulations.
• Share knowledge with team members and collaborate positively.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
