Experienced BCBS Insurance Collections Specialist

Join us as an Experienced BCBS Insurance Collections Specialist at AIS Healthcare.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage collection processes for TDD services, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and billing issue resolution with insurance companies.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and payer guidelines.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment and escalate issues as needed.
• Evaluate payments and denials, apply correct adjustments, and identify bad debts or overpayments.
• Coordinate with departments to obtain necessary information for claims and ensure confidentiality according to HIPAA.
• Document interactions thoroughly and look for opportunities to maximize reimbursements.
• Resolve denials within 5 days and maintain knowledge of relevant medical and insurance terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience, specifically in billing and collections.
• Preferred experience in Home Infusion or Intrathecal Pain Management.
• Strong communication, judgment, organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
