Job summary

JOEY Restaurants is seeking a Barback to support the bar team in delivering an Iconic Hospitality experience. You will assist bartenders, keep the bar area clean, and ensure smooth service during busy shifts. Training and opportunities for growth are emphasized across the company.

Qualifications

• 1+ years customer service experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Able to walk/stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

As aBarback, you support the ongoing success of your bar team. You are aware and anticipate their needs so that they can keep the seamless performance in motion. Wage Scale

$18.42 per hour. This position is eligible for tips.

Duties

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience. Show them what Iconic Hospitality means!
• Assist bartenders in delivering exceptional service and a pristine environment.
• Clear and reset bar top to the standard expectations.
• Monitor and assist with the delivery of guest beverages.
• Polish glassware.
• Prep bar ingredients and juices.
• Tap kegs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant by bussing bar top of glassware, dishes, and cutlery.
• Complete assigned side work and closing duties to set your team up for success. Stock, clean, and organize bar area and sections. Re-stock bar throughout service.
• Follow all food and alcoholservice andhandling safetyprecautions andprocedures.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years customer serviceexperience(If you have high potential but less experience, we still want to meet you!).
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Be able towalk andstand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks;andliftand carryupto50lbs.
