Job summary

JOEY Restaurants is hiring a Bartender in Manhattan Beach, CA. You welcome guests with warmth, engage them with your beverage expertise, and ensure accurate, timely service in a fast-paced bar setting.

You will craft cocktails and other drinks, recommend menu items, and maintain compliant service according to company standards. Join a team committed to hospitality, development, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1 year bartending experience.
• Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Passion for hospitality and track record of hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Assist guests with navigating our menu options and recommend beverages and food items.
• Create and pour cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and nonalcoholic beverages per JOEY recipes and standards.
• Input orders accurately into the POS system.
• Monitor and assist with delivery of guest beverage and food orders.
• Prepare final guest checks and process payments safely.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with urgency and good judgment.
• Ensure age verification for alcohol sales in line with state law.

Wage Scale

Starting at $16.90 per hour. This position is eligible for tips.

Duties

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience. Show them what Iconic Hospitality means!
• Assistguests with navigating our menu options. Utilize your extensive menu knowledge to recommend favorite beverage andfooditems per relevant likes, dislikes, and dietary needs.
• Create and pour cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and other nonalcoholic beverages according to JOEY recipes and standards.
• Ensuretimelyandaccurateinput of orders in the point-of-sale system.
• Monitor andassistwith the delivery of guestbeverageandfoodorders.
• Prepare final guest checksin a timely mannerand run payments safely and securely.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment.It’sYour Business.
• Reinforce guest identification requirements and age restrictions for alcohol salesin accordance withstate law.
• Follow all food and alcoholservice andhandling safetyprecautions andprocedures.

Basic Qualifications

• 1 year bartendingexperience(If you have high potential but less experience, we still want to meet you!).
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Be able towalk andstand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks;andliftand carryupto50lbs.
