Description

Location: Irvine, CA | On-Site | Full Time | $17-$20 an hour | Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

The Cashier/AMO Clerk is responsible for remitting payments to Extended Service Contract companies, GAP, and other aftermarket products sold. They process cancellations and issue refunds to consumers or lenders. The role involves payables, reconciliation, and schedule management.

The position includes registering Service Contracts and aftermarket warranty products, preparing cancellations and refunds, and maintaining accurate records.

• Follow-up on outstanding claims
• Reconcile F&I, Ethos, AMO, and reserve accounts
• Handle used car purchases and dealer trades
• Maintain all service and customer records as required by the warrantor
• Code aftermarket claims accurately and enter data into the dealership's system
• Process warranty paperwork, verify documentation, and ensure compliance with factory/distributor criteria
• Review and correct aftermarket claims as needed
• Administer warranty identification and disposal
• Maintain good relationships with all departments
• Stay informed about factory recalls and announcements

What You’ll Need:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Experience working in an automotive dealership required
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and journal entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
