Job summary

Cedar’s Foods in Haverhill, MA seeks an experienced Automation Controls Technician (1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) to support, install, debug, and qualify new and existing equipment. You will troubleshoot electromechanical systems, work with Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs, and collaborate with engineering on modifications and validations.

Requires a 2-year technical degree and 4+ years in manufacturing controls; strong electrical/mechanical skills; ability to read schematics; and capable teamwork in

Qualifications

Minimum two-year technical degree in Applied Technology or Engineering-related discipline.
Minimum four years of control systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
License Electrician preferable but not required.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and HMI a plus.

Responsibilities

Daily troubleshooting of automation systems and equipment.
Assist with installation, startup, testing, and debugging of new systems.
Prepare electrical and software specifications and drawings with engineering.
Provide internal and external technical support on controls.
