Job summary

Lithia & Driveway’s DCH Audi of Oxnard is hiring an experienced Audi Service Technician. You will perform repairs per the repair order, diagnose malfunctions, and road-test vehicles to ensure quality of work. Compensation includes a pay range of $40-$45 per flat rate hour and a full-time schedule.

Ideal candidates bring Audi or VW experience (2+ years), manufacturer training, and ASE certifications, plus a valid driver’s license. Benefits and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Audi Vehicle Experience 2+ years or Volkswagen Vehicle Experience 2+ years
• Passed manufacturer training and can perform repairs in the listed areas: Lube and Maintenance, Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission, Manual Drive Train, Suspension/Steering, Brake, Electrical/Electrical Systems, Hybrid/Alternative Fuels, Heating and A/C, Engine Diagnostics/Repair (Optional)
• Must have a smog license or state emissions certification as applicable
• Automotive Technical Knowledge – 5+ Years
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

Now Hiring - Experienced Audi Service Technician

• Pay: $40-$45 Per Flat Rate Hour
• Schedule: Full Time

What You’ll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as “special tools”.
• Return special tools to proper place.
• Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
• Ensure that customer’s vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
• Complete all required training.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
• Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.

What You’ll Bring

• Audi Vehicle Experience 2+ years or Volkswagen Vehicle Experience 2+ years
• Competency: Passed manufacturer training and can perform repairs in the following areas:

• Hybrid/Alternative Fuels

• Engine Drivability Diagnosis and Repair (Optional)
• Must either have appropriate smog license or state emissions certification (as applicable by state/city).
• Customer Pay Proficiency Level: Greater than 115% Customer Pay Repairs
• Automotive Technical Knowledge – 5+ Years
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence

Total Rewards

This is a performance driven position, eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes Bonuses based on Production Productivity.

The average pay range for this position is $0.00-$45.00 per flat rate hour.

Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
