Keith's Appliances in Southeast Connecticut seeks a proactive Appliance Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain home appliances, while providing outstanding customer service and traveling to customer locations as needed.

You will contribute to a hands-on, quality-focused team, applying technical skills to deliver timely, reliable service and build customer trust at a long-standing local retailer.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology.
• The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
• The employee must stand, walk, sit, reach, climb/balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge to perform technical repairs according to schedule.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems to determine the best course of action.
• Estimates repair costs and obtains authorization before starting work.
• Communicates with office and customers throughout the process.
• Completes repairs in a timely manner.
• Travels to customer locations to complete repairs as directed.
• Recommends and explains additional repairs as appropriate.
• Finalizes repair order information including pricing.
• Contacts techline to locate parts and information as needed while working.
• Explains to customers the nature of service needed and costs.
