Qualifications

• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Charlotte or New York City.

• Support or lead the execution of sell-side, buy-side, and strategic advisory transactions.
• Build, analyse, and review financial models and valuation analyses.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations.
• Coordinate due diligence and work closely with clients, buyers, investors, and external advisers.
• Take ownership of transaction workstreams, with increasing responsibility for execution and client relationships.
• Contribute to sector research, business development, and origination initiatives.
• At Associate and VP level, oversee junior colleagues and support their professional development.

My client is a leading investment bank with a strong middle-market franchise, advising entrepreneurs, private equity investors, and public companies on M&A and strategic transactions. Its Technology-Enabled & Business Services team has an established track record of advising high-growth businesses on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of live mandates, the team is seeking experienced Analysts, Associates, and Vice Presidents to join its Charlotte or New York City office.

This is an opportunity to gain exposure to high-profile M&A transactions and work closely with senior bankers and clients across a dynamic sector. Responsibilities will reflect your experience, with opportunities to develop execution expertise, take on greater client responsibility, and contribute to the team’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Depending on seniority, you will:
• Support or lead the execution of sell-side, buy-side, and strategic advisory transactions.
• Build, analyse, and review financial models and valuation analyses.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations.
• Coordinate due diligence and work closely with clients, buyers, investors, and external advisers.

Requirements

• Prior investment banking experience with a strong grounding in M&A execution, appropriate to an experienced Analyst, Associate, or Vice President role.
• Experience in technology, technology-enabled services, or business services is preferred.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills, with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across live transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, alongside a collaborative approach.
• For senior candidates, demonstrated experience managing transaction execution, client relationships, and junior team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Charlotte or New York City.
