Job summary

Flightcheck Commercial Aviation in Chicago, IL is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform line maintenance per FAA and company standards. You will troubleshoot engines, landing gear, hydraulics, airframes, electrical, and oxygen systems, and replace components as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, an active A&P license, and at least 2 years of AMT experience. We offer a competitive hourly wage up to $47, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, full medical/dental/vision

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid A&P license.
• Minimum 2 years' AMT experience.
• Must read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to climb ladders 6–10 feet tall.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aircraft maintenance activities per FARs, company and customer procedures.
• Accomplish tasks to safety, quality and reliability standards.
• Complete maintenance work to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and documents.
• Be customer service oriented and ensure documentation is complete.
• Operate service equipment and travel occasionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Aircraft Mechanic will perform aircraft line maintenance activities in accordance with company, FAA, other regulatory, and customer standards. Responsible for accomplishing unscheduled/scheduled maintenance; to include, troubleshooting engines, landing gear, hydraulic systems, airframes, electrical systems, and oxygen systems. Remove and replace various system components, as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Flightcheck’s RSM, QCM, customers’ procedures, FARs, and all other applicable rules and regulations
• Accomplish job functions to the highest safety, quality, reliable, and efficient standards
• Complete aircraft maintenance work assignments to the highest standards to ensure aircraft airworthiness
• Able to read, interpret, and comply with all aircraft maintenance manuals and other maintenance documents to complete work assignments
• Must be customer service-oriented
• Ensure all company, customer, and regulatory documents are complete and accurate
• Properly use and operate support equipment in performance of assigned duties, i.e., servicing units, jacks, lifts, calibrated tooling, etc
• Occasional travel
• Perform other duties as they are assigned

Requirements:

• Musthave a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Musthave a valid A&P and State Driver’s License
• Musthave a minimum of 2 years' experience as an AMT
• Mustbe able to read, write and understand English and the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions
• Mustbe able to lift and move up to 70 pounds
• Mustbe able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Mustbe able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall
