Job summary

Flightcheck Commercial Aviation operates a team of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians at SDF in Louisville, KY. The role involves performing line maintenance and component changes to ensure airworthiness while adhering to company procedures and FARs.

The position requires strong reading and communication skills in English, an A&P license, and 2–3 years of relevant experience. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 70 pounds are also required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing and understanding English.
• Must have an Airframe and Powerplant license.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as an aircraft technician.
• Must have a valid A&P and State Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
• Ability to climb ladders 6–10 feet.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Flightcheck’s procedures and regulatory rules.
• Aim for highest safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency standards.
• Complete maintenance work to ensure airworthiness of aircraft.
• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and documents.
• Provide customer service and ensure accurate documentation.
• Operate support equipment and tools during duties.
• Occasional travel as required by assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking exceptional individuals to join our Aircraft Maintenance Technician team at SDF, in Louisville, KY!

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform aircraft line maintenance activities in accordance with company, FAA, other regulatory, and customer standards. Responsible for accomplishing unscheduled/scheduled maintenance; to include, troubleshooting engines, landing gear, hydraulic systems, airframes, electrical systems, and oxygen systems. Remove and replace various system components, as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Flightcheck’s RSM, QCM, customers’ procedures, FARs, and all other applicable rules and regulations
• Accomplish job functions to the highest safety, quality, reliable, and efficient standards
• Complete aircraft maintenance work assignments to the highest standards to ensure aircraft airworthiness
• Able to read, interpret, and comply with all aircraft maintenance manuals and other maintenance documents to complete work assignments
• Must be customer service-oriented
• Ensure all company, customer, and regulatory documents are complete and accurate
• Properly use and operate support equipment in performance of assigned duties, i.e., servicing units, jacks, lifts, calibrated tooling, etc
• Occasional travel
• Perform other duties as they are assigned

Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have Airframe and Powerplant License
• Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience
• Must have a valid A&P and State Driver’s License
• Must be able to read, write and understand English and the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions
• Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds
• Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Must be able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall
