Job summary

Penobscot Community Health Care in Maine is seeking an Experienced Advanced Practice Provider for an acute care role embedded in outpatient primary care. The position offers a walk-in/urgent care setting with a mix of acute and chronic conditions.

The role requires MD/DO, NP, or PA training with current state licensure and DEA license, BLS current or within 2 weeks of hire, and preferably 1 year of clinical experience. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited MD or DO, Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant program.
• Current ME NP or PA license, current DEA license.
• Up-to-date BLS or obtain within 2 weeks if not current at hire.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Full-time dynamic and collaborative role embedded in an outpatient primary care practice with walk-in/urgent care.
• Work across the lifespan with on-site services including family medicine, pharmacy, behavioral health, rehabilitation, medication management, and social services.
• Common procedures include suturing, incision and drainage of abscesses, removal of soft tissue foreign bodies, closed reduction of simple fractures and dislocations, and splinting.
• Be adaptable to a high degree of case variety; day-to-day conditions range from acute illnesses to chronic disease.

Salary: $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 Annually

Full-time dynamic and collaborative role embedded in an outpatient primary care practice. Walk-in/urgent care setting where the nature of the day to day can be unpredictable. Prior clinical advanced practice experience in an emergency department, acute/urgent care strongly preferred.
