Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Active Maine Physician Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Prescriptive authority or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Ability to provide primary care across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan
  • Conduct physical examinations, wellness visits, and preventive screenings
  • Evaluate and treat common acute illnesses and injuries
  • Diagnose and manage chronic medical conditions
  • Develop evidence-based treatment and follow-up plans
  • Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies
  • Prescribe medications within applicable licensure and authority
  • Educate patients and families regarding prevention, treatment, and long-term health management
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and community resources
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
  • Participate in quality-improvement and population-health initiatives

Physician Assistant – Primary Care

HealthYes Staffing Network is seeking a Physician Assistant for an established Federally Qualified Health Center in Northern Maine.

This outpatient primary care position offers the opportunity to practice with a broad clinical scope while working alongside physicians, Medical Directors, and other healthcare professionals. The PA will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and help improve healthcare access for patients throughout a close-knit rural community.

Full-time, part-time, and contract arrangements may be considered.
