Job summary

Explico is seeking an Experienced Accident Reconstructionist to lead autonomous crash analyses, manage investigations, and present findings to clients and legal professionals. You’ll use PC-Crash, HVE, and similar tools, collect data from vehicles and scenes, and mentor junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accident reconstruction or forensic engineering, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and PE/ACTAR progression is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in accident reconstruction or forensic engineering.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency with reconstruction software and tools.
  • PE license or progress toward PE/ACTAR certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage accident reconstruction cases.
  • Collect and analyze data from vehicles, scenes, and EDRs (in-state and occasional out-of-state travel required).
  • Utilize tools such as PC-Crash, HVE, or similar software.
  • Prepare reports and deliver findings to clients.

What You'll Do

As an Experienced Accident Reconstructionist, you’ll take a more autonomous role in analyzing vehicular crashes and presenting findings. You will lead investigations, utilize industry-standard software, and interface directly with clients and legal professionals.

Starting salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
