If you know how to run a service lane, build customer trust, communicate effectively with technicians, and turn recommendations into completed work, we want to talk to you.
Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department.
We're specifically interested in automotive professionals who understand that being a great Service Advisor is about more than writing repair orders.
It's about owning the customer experience from write-up through vehicle delivery, building long-term relationships, maximizing legitimate service opportunities, and keeping the entire repair process moving.
If you've built your career in automotive service and are looking for a dealership where your experience, performance, and ideas will be valued, this could be your next long-term home.
Experienced Service Advisors have options.
We know changing dealerships isn't a decision you make lightly.
That's why we're focused on providing our advisors with the technology, resources, earning opportunity, and support needed to perform at a high level.
You’ll have access to tools including:
Our goal is simple: give talented Service Advisors the tools they need to succeed.
There's something different about working for a dealership where the family's name is on the building.
The Scranton family has been serving Connecticut drivers since 1952.
More than 70 years later, we're still family-owned and operated, now under our third generation of family leadership.
That longevity comes from building relationships—with our customers and with the people who work here.
We're large enough to provide the technology, benefits, resources, and earning opportunities experienced automotive professionals expect, while maintaining the accessibility and personal environment of a family-owned dealership.
You won't be just another employee number here.
As a Service Advisor, you'll take ownership of the customer's service experience from arrival through completion.
You’ll:
This position is designed for someone who already understands the automotive service environment and wants to take the next step in their career.
Our ideal candidate has:
Experience with General Motors dealerships and/or Reynolds & Reynolds is highly desirable.
If you already understand GM processes, warranty procedures, maintenance schedules, manufacturer programs, or Reynolds & Reynolds workflows, we especially want to hear from you.
Our strongest Service Advisors know how to balance three things:
Take care of the customer. Take care of the technician. Take care of the business.
That means providing customers with honest, understandable information so they can make informed decisions about their vehicles.
It means communicating effectively with technicians so work moves efficiently through the shop.
And it means recognizing legitimate maintenance and repair opportunities instead of simply processing repair orders.
We want advisors who take pride in their CSI, customer retention, repair-order performance, communication, and reputation.
A talented advisor shouldn't have to fight outdated processes to take care of customers.
Scranton Chevrolet provides tools designed to make communication easier and the service experience more transparent, including:
These tools help you communicate value, build customer trust, improve approvals, and keep repair orders moving.
Expected earning potential: $60,000–$85,000+ per year
Compensation is performance-driven and provides experienced advisors with the opportunity to be rewarded for strong results.
We also offer:
A sign-on bonus may be available for the right experienced Service Advisor who can join us within our needed timeframe.
If you're currently employed by another dealership, your application and conversations with us will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
We understand the automotive community is small, and we respect your privacy.
We're looking for someone who is career-minded.
Someone who doesn't just want to move from one service lane to another.
Someone who wants the opportunity to perform, earn, develop, and potentially grow beyond their current position.
If you've reached the point where you're asking yourself:
"What's my next step?"\
We should talk.
As Scranton Chevrolet continues to grow, we want strong performers to have opportunities to grow with us.
Some of the best automotive professionals aren't actively searching job boards.
We understand that.
If you're currently working as Service Advisor, Service Writer, Assistant Service Manager, or in another dealership service role and you're doing well where you are, we're still interested in having a confidential conversation.
You don't have to be unhappy with your current dealership to explore whether there's a better opportunity.
If you're looking for:
Better tools.
Strong earning potential.
A busy service operation.
A respected GM dealership.
Long-term stability.
A family-owned environment.
And an opportunity to grow.
Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich may be worth a conversation.
