Job summary

Affordable Care, LLC is seeking an Expense Audit Analyst to ensure travel and expense spending aligns with policy. You will review expense activity, verify receipts and business purpose, and document findings for HR and Legal.

You will identify exceptions, analyze patterns by employee and location, and prepare monitoring reports to prevent recurring issues.

The role collaborates with Accounts Payable, Treasury, and management to improve T&E processes and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2 to 4 years in accounting, audit, accounts payable, T&E review or internal controls.
• Advanced Excel (lookups, pivots, large data sets).
• Sharp attention to detail and clear written documentation.
• Sound judgment and strict confidentiality. You will handle sensitive employee matters.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate Concur expense reports and card activity against receipts, business purpose and policy.
• Identify duplicate claims, personal purchases, unsupported charges, and receipts that are missing or poorly documented.
• Analyze spending by employee, location and category to detect unusual behavior and improve controls.
• Open case files, classify findings, preserve evidence, and hand cases to HR and Legal.
• Note where approvers bypassed controls and provide feedback to management.
• Reconcile suspended/separated employees against active profiles and flag improper workflow routing.
• Recommend changes to T&E policies, approval limits and SOPs and report compliance trends to leadership.
• Provide samples and documentation to auditors as needed.
