Job summary

ilani is seeking an Expeditor to be the core support staff member of the restaurant, handling table maintenance, bussing, running food, and assisting servers and barback duties. The expeditor coordinates communication between the kitchen and servers to ensure a seamless and superior guest experience.

The position requires promoting superior guest service, maintaining sanitation standards, and coordinating line setup with servers and bartenders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
• Valid Food Handler’s card (onsite certification provided).
• Must be able to stand and move quickly for an 8-10-hour shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Promotes superior guest service.
• Sets up and maintains the expedition side of the line.
• Assists servers and bartenders with duties as directed.
• Coordinates communication between the kitchen and service staff.
• Maintains knowledge of all seating configurations and station setup.
• Ensures sanitation and food safety practices are followed by FOH.
• Runs food following proper service methods.
• Prepares left-over food for takeout as needed.
